Gayle Lee Ames, a cherished mother and beloved daughter, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Kettering, Ohio, at the age of 70. Born on December 10, 1954, in San Francisco, California, Gayle's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love and compassion for her boys.
For over 20 years, Gayle dedicated her career to being a Licensed Massage Therapist in Dayton, Ohio, where she alleviated the pain and stress of countless individuals, pouring love and healing into her work. Before embarking on this fulfilling path, she helped her mother, Joen, who owned the Athena Bridal and After Five in Centerville.
Gayle loved being a mother and raised two wonderful sons, Zachary Ames and Dylan Ames, who, alongside his wife Taylor, carry forward her spirit of loyalty and strength. Gayle's love and guidance have left an indelible mark on their lives, inspiring them to embrace their dreams and cherish their family connections.
She is also survived by her brother, Jeff Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, John Ames, and her parents, Jerry and Joen Gibson. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of her family, as they remember the warmth and love that Gayle brought to their lives.
As we celebrate Gayle's life, we remember her laughter, her dedication to healing, and the immeasurable love she shared with her family. Her legacy of compassion and strength will continue to live on through those who were touched by her spirit. Gayle Lee Ames will be dearly missed, but her love will forever be remembered.
