Gary Wilson
Age 59, of Dayton, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, in Tennessee as the result of a trucking accident.
Gary was born November 26, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio to Harold J. & Delpha V. (Hankinson) Wilson, who survive him. He is also survived by his wife of the past 33 ½ years, Terry A. (Hall) Wilson; one son and daughter-in-law, Travis & Kelly Wilson; one daughter, Tracy Wilson; two and ½ grandsons, Alexandar J. Meyer, Nathanial A. Meyer and Brady Patrick Wilson who is due to be born in May; his in-law's, Nelson & Carmen Hall; one sister-in-law, Penny & her husband, Rick Lamascus; and by many cousins, extended family and good friends.
Gary, a four-year U. S. Navy veteran, was employed as an over-the-road truck driver, most recently with AO Smith Company where he was the recipient of the Million-mile Safe Drivers Award. He and Terry are members of the Dayton Vineyard Church and are active with the Artisan Kinship group. Gary had a great love of music and enjoyed writing songs, playing his guitar and singing praises to the Lord. He was devoted to caring for his parents and family and served them with his time and energy. He also held a compassionate love for those who needed help and was of great assistance to broken families in need.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Dayton Vineyard Church, 4051 Indian Ripple Road. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m., Friday, with interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions should be made in memory of Gary to Dayton Alzheimer's Association.
