Gary T. Shorter, age 64 of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. He was born January 25, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Thomas and Kathleen Shorter.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas L. Shorter.
Gary is survived by his son, Gary L. Shorter; three daughters, Melissa (Matthew) DeWitt, Corina Shorter, Dawn Shorter; mother, Kathleen Shorter; sister, Nancy J. (Steven) Haws; seven grandchildren, Kennedy Jones, Dexter Jones, William Neely, Trent DeWitt, Bristol DeWitt, Darius Dennis, Jr., Devon Shorter; two best friends, Ricky T., Teresa Osborn; He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439.
