Gary Lee Stice

Gary Lee Stice, age 70, of New Carlisle, passed away on July 17, 2020, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 6, 1950, the son of the late Jessie and Joan (Havens) Stice .

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Stice; children, Julie Whitacre, Jennifer Stice and Jerry Stice; grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan, Nicole and Malachi; sisters, Connie Stemley and Karen Baker; his dear uncle, who was like a brother, Jerry Havens; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. In his free time, he loved to coach a variety of sports over the years, fishing, hunting and cheering on his Cincinnati Bengals and OSU Buckeyes. Gary was a fighter, he never gave up on trying to get better. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his family, whom he adored.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 6pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1pm at the funeral home with Patrick Owens officiating. Burial will follow privately at Dayton National Cemetery for the immediate family only.
