Gary Smith

November 30, 1946 — May 29, 2016

Gary Neil Smith, age 69 of West Carrollton, passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2016.

He was born on November 30, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to Blair and Jean (Pratt) Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Karen Loy Smith and his father, Blair Neil Smith.

Gary is survived by his three loving daughters, Tara D. (Shawn) Hook, Casey (Rick) Reed, Carol Sue Smith; three grandchildren, Adam, Kyle and Ryan Reed; sister, Toni (Charlie) DiPasquale; two brothers, Randy (Melanie) Smith, Corey Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Gary was a veteran of the United States Army and spent 10 months in Vietnam where he received a purple heart and an honorable discharge. He retired from General Motors after 35 years and was currently employed with Reichard Buick. Although Gary left us too soon, we take comfort in knowing that he's now reunited with his beloved Karen.
