Gary L. Smith, age 51 of Dayton, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2011. He was born August 25, 1959 in South Bend, IN to Leroy and Helen Smith.
In addition to his parents, Gary is survived by his wife of 31 years, Denise Smith; daughter, Jaymi Smith; sister, Teresa Lasher; brothers: Richard Smith and Larry Smith; nephew, Kyle; niece, Jennifer; great-nephew, Gage; mother and father in-law: Jennie and Woody Ellington; many other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
