Gary Manuel Rodgers

Gary Manuel Rodgers, 90, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2022. Loving husband of Dorothy Rodgers for 65 years, adored father of Brenda (Mike) Speak, Debbie (Don) Mintz and Doug Rodgers, cherished grandfather of Tina (Jeff) Wawskyo, Michael (Tami) Speak, Shelby Rodgers, Alyssa (Will) Maletts and Katie Mintz, beloved great grand father of Brandon, Tyler, Brooke, Emily, Ryan, Charlotte and Grayson and loved brother of Dale Rodgers.

Gary was preceded in death by parents Elbert and Mary Beva Rodgers and siblings Elsie, Nita, Leora, Elbert Jr., Raymond and Dallas.

Gary spent his early life serving in the United States Navy. Once he was honorable discharged he met his wife, Dorothy and they married 1957. He raised a loving family and spent 43 years working as an electrician for General Motors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a long time member of General Baptist Church God's House of Prayer in Fairborn, Ohio.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.) on Thursday November 3, 2022 at 11:00 am with funeral service at 12:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Shoup cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Gary's memory to (https://www.alz.org/?form=alz_donate)
