Gary Robert Wolf

Gary Robert Wolf passed away on Thursday Oct 16, 2014 at age 68. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Russel E. and Eva L. Clem Wolf, ex-wife Tani Arville Wolf, devoted friend Dee Frenchik, and brother-in-law James Lang. Gary is survived by two sisters, Marla Joy (Glen) Weaver, Carolyn W. Lang, and one brother Richard R. (Donna) Wolf. Gary has eight nieces and nephews. Robin (Dennis) Gilbert, Ginger Weaver, Kevin (Karen) Weaver, Greg (Suzanne) Lang, Robert (Diane) Lang, Marla (Renay) San Miguel, Rale (Kathy) Wolf and Alan (Amy) Wolf.

Gary graduated from Jefferson Twp. High School with the class of 1964 and received a BA degree in Business Administration from Otterbein College in 1968. After college Gary joined the Military and served in the Army Security Agency from 1968-1974. He was stationed in Japan, but traveled throughout the Far East including Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. Gary retired from the Ohio Bureau of Employment after 35 years of service. Gary loved the outdoors from the time in his youth when he was a Boy Scout to when he was an adult and would spend time at Taylorsville and Englewood Reserves "unwinding".

He will be missed.

In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations to Liberty United Methodist Church, 7840 Pemberton Dr., Dayton, OH 45417 or The Hospice of Dayton, in Gary's memory.

Burial will be at Bearcreek-Hillgrove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
