Gary Dennis Nelson
June 12, 1944 — November 2, 2022
Gary D. Nelson, 78 of Xenia, peacefully passed away on November 2nd, 2022. He was born June 12th, 1944 in Beavercreek OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father Clarence Nelson and mother Kathryn (Kay) Nelson.
Gary is survived by his loving family; Brother, Ronald R. Nelson, Nephew, Joe (Mollie) Nelson of Beavercreek, OH; Niece, Jody Fecher (Scott) of Centerville, OH; and numerous great nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Gary graduated from Beavercreek HS and then entered in the U.S. Army. Following his service to our country, Gary worked in research and development within the automotive industry from which he retired.
Gary will always be remembered as the fun-loving Uncle, witty with a great sense of humor. He loved to travel and especially loved vacationing at Virginia Beach. He also enjoyed spending time with family on special occasions and every holiday.
The family would like to give a very special Thank You to the staff at Wood Glen Alzheimer's Community for all the love, support and the wonderful care given to Gary.
A Veteran's Memorial Service will begin at 1 PM at the Dayton National Cemetery on Thursday, November 17, 2022.
