Gary L. Lipscomb

Gary L. Lipscomb, age 76, of Dayton, passed away on October 19, 2023. He was born on May 22, 1947 and was raised by his late grandparents, Harry & Floetta Lipscomb.

He loved music and recorded his own song in Nashville, Tennessee in 1977. He enjoyed going camping outdoors with his camper and just being outside. He was hardly ever found indoors. Gary and his wife often went down to Pigeon Forge, but he was never without his faithful companion, Li'l Bit. He will be very dearly missed by all that love him.

In addition to his grandparents, Gary was preceded in death by his former wife, Margie Jane; his mother & step-dad, Ethel and Clifford Lowe; and his sister, Rosemary "Tootie" Floyd.

Gary's memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Connie Lipscomb; his children: Davia Lipscomb, Dana Bowling (Billie), Gary Lipscomb II, and Shane Lipscomb (Kelsey); siblings: John Lowe (Kathy), Ronnie Lowe (Tina), Jane Ford, and Clifford Lowe (Vicki); grandchildren: Heather, Tony, Billie, Christina, Noah, Logan, Dakota, Kyle, Braxton and Emelia; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, with his services the following day at 1:30pm. Following the service, Gary will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
