Age 61, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011, at The Hospice of Dayton.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Ella Marie Smith; and by his mother, Harriett Merriman.
Gary is survived by his father, Warren H. (Janet) Smith; three children, Sally (Mark) Hite, Gary Smith Jr. and Arthur Smith; two brothers, Rick (Marilyn) Smith and Patrick (Nancy) Hobbs; two sisters, Mindy Hobbs and Denise (Randy) Davis; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Gary worked at Durion for over 30 years. He loved to bowl, go fishing, hunting and camping.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.
Contributions may be made in memory of Gary to The Hospice of Dayton.
