Gary L. Saylor, age 67 of Jamestown, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice on March 19, 2022. He was born December 20, 1954 to the late Norman Saylor and Georgia (Billy) Slusser.
Gary graduated from Meadowdale High School of Dayton in 1974. He retired from Delphi (Delco Products) in 1999. Gary's hobby was Drag Racing. He was a member of NHRA for over 42 years. He raced Dragsters and a 1968 Camaro as a family hobby.
He married his elementary school sweetheart and best friend, Victoria "Vicki" Saylor on December 20, 1975 and was married for 47 years. They have a loving son, Douglas Saylor from Columbus, whom they are proud of his accomplishments in life. Gary has a very close family, his sister Wanda Yerian of Beavercreek, Ohio; brother, Larry (Lexana) Saylor of Carlisle, Ohio; sister-in-law, Sandra Rutherford of Dayton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Bob (Debbie) Rutherford of New Lebanon, Ohio; nieces, Jessica (Chris) Furay of West Carrollton, Ohio and Sarah (Taylor) Bayes of Carlisle, Ohio; nephews, Larry T. Saylor of Carlisle, Ohio, Josh Rutherford of Sandusky, Ohio, Michael Saylor of Carlisle, Ohio and Freddie Jones of New Lebanon, Ohio; 4 great nieces and 3 great nephews; best friends, Keith Hart, Leon Bryan, Mark Liddy, Donnie Sharpe, Rodger Hughes, and Brad Sharpe; Gary will be greatly missed by all.

Gary was proceeded in death by his father, Norman Saylor; father-in-law, Robert C. Rutherford; mother-in-law, Nora B. Rutherford; cousins, Glenn and Greg Conley; aunt and uncle, Bill and Pauline Conley; uncle, Phillip Adams, and brother-in-law, Darrell Yerian; and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 12-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio). A Funeral service will begin at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Gary's honor to Hospice of Dayton.
