Age 56, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital.
He was born November 20, 1950 in Dayton to Joseph & Norma Jean (Rawlins) Cooper. In addition to his father, Gary was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of the past 9 years, Delores Ann Cooper; his mother, Norma Jean Cooper; four children, Robert Taynor, Stacey Anderson, Josephine Taynor and Lori Taynor; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Anthony, Tiffani, Joseph, Haley, Noah, Cassie and Hunter; two brothers, Mark & Lisa Cooper, Chris Cooper; sister, Mary Helen & Mike Singleton; half-brother, Larry & Susan Cooper; half-sister, JoAnn Cooper; numerous nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family & friends.
Gary had been an employee of G. M. and later of Wendy's Restaurant.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, with Pastor Chuck Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Gary to his family to be used at their discretion.
