Gary Jessie

Gary L. Jessie, age 66 of Huber Heights, passed away June 7, 2017. He was born April 28, 1951 in Dayton to the late Ernest and Billie Jessie. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Jessie; and sister, Jody Williams.

Gary is survived by his wife, Lisa Jessie; children: Jennifer (Chris) Voudris, Jake (Jade) Jessie, Amber Jessie, Matthew (Nicci) Jessie and Michelle (Dale) Genschaw; grandchildren: Aiden, Lily, Mattison and Julia; brothers: Larry (Jane) Jessie and Mitchell (Gwendolyn) Jessie; sister, Suzie (Jeff) Powell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam War. He worked in Construction Management for many years. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, boating and anything outdoors. He was a very generous person who loved helping others in any way that he could.

Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 am on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. Burial and military honors will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
