Gary Glen Flatt

Gary Glen Flatt, age 70 of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 12, 2024. He was born September 14, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Orlie and Lillian Flatt.

Gary was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He proudly served his country during Vietnam Era as a United States Marine Corp at the age of 17. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, being outdoors, Nascar, and spending time with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Amvets for the last 20 years at the American Veterans Association. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Zack Flatt; former wives, Tina Salyers and Peggy Flatt.

He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Joe McAfee) Flatt and Glenda (Jon) Thurston; son, Tim Bell; grandchildren, Jayden, Jonathon, Mayson, Madison, Lilyan, Mariah, and Michael; great grandson, Ace; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several other family members and friend.

A celebration of life benefit will be held in Garys honor on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Amvets Post 464 in Huber Heights, Ohio at 6pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Garys name can be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral arrangements.
