Gary W. Dodson

Gary W. Dodson, age 74 of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2017. He was born March 27, 1942 in Somerset, KY to the late Richard O. and Clara E. (Halcomb) Giles. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Terry L. Dodson.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 48 years, Judy K. Dodson; sons, Scott (Susan) Dodson and Brian (Tanya) Dodson; grandchildren, Samuel, Brittany, Tory and Taylor; sister, Patricia (Tom) Stafford of FL; sister-in-law, Pamela (Dick) Dodson-Price and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gary worked for over 17 years at Chrysler and 23 years at Cargill. Following his retirement he then worked part time the last 10 years at CESO/Design Homes in Centerville and also at the YMCA-Huber Heights.
A Celebration of Gary's Life will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, where the family will receive Gary's friends and loved ones from 4-5 PM (in the gathering area), followed by a service in the sanctuary, 7505 Taylorsville Rd. Huber Heights, OH 45424, (937) 236-5970.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to YMCA-Huber Heights, in Gary's memory.
