BOOHER, Gary Dean, age 72, of Kettering, passed away Sun., Dec. 10, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton due to CHF. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn & Dorotha Booher and 1 son Gary Jr. Gary is survived by his wife Charlotte; 1 son Capt. Shawn Keith Booher (Tiffany) of Kettering; 2 daughters Tawnya Michelle Sanders (Rob) and Gina Hindle (Eddie) both of Dayton; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters; 1 brother and many other loved ones and friends. He retired from construction, his favorite occupation, after 30 years due to heart problems. He was employed by Hospice of Dayton as Security Guard for over 6 years, where he was known as "Candy Man." He worked in security, maintenance and as a cook at McDonalds for more than 7 years. Gary attended the First Baptist Church of Kettering. Funeral services 1:30 P.M., Wed., Dec. 13, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Pastors Walter R. Davis and Barry Jude officiating. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Kettering Building Fund or Hospice of Dayton in Gary's memory.
