Gary B. Mcgowan

Gary B. McGowan, age 87 of Dayton, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of the late Lester and Minnie McGowan.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Janet L. Belvo; brother, Robert McGowan.
Gary is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce "Joy"; daughter, Cathy Creason; son, Steve O. McGowan; son-in-law, Aaron Belvo; seven grandchildren, Steven B. McGowan, Sara & Matthew Creason, Cecilia, Joshua, Nicole & Natalie Belvo; as well as 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Gary served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War.
A graveside service will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 1 pm with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
