January 18, 1951 — June 25, 2021
Gary A. Kohl, age 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, of Bellbrook, went home to see Jesus on Friday, June 25, 2021.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Frank & Estella Kohl.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Maria "Elaina" Kohl and father-in-law, James D. Mullins.
Gary proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years. He was a devoted member of The Gathering Place Baptist Church.
Gary is survived by his son, James Nicholas (Brenda) Kohl; 3 grandchildren, Zach, Hunter and Kyle; 2 step-granddaughters, Christen (Tyler) Winkle, Megan Ivey; brother, John (Jo) Kohl; Mother-in-law, Marie Mullins; brother-in-laws, David (Connie) Mullins, H. Dan (Edie) Mullins, Phil (Shane) Mullins, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces , great nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gathering Place Baptist Church in Gary's memory.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 11am-12pm at the Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 12pm.
Gary will be laid to rest with full military honors next his wife, Elaina at the Dayton National Cemetery.
