Garrie Rand Howard, age 65 of East Dayton, passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2012. He was born on July 24, 1946 to the late Garrett and Essie Howard.
Garrie is survived by his son, Mark Howard; grandson, Michael Howard; sister, Donna Fleenor; brother, Morgan Howard; other family members and good friends.
Garrie retired from General Motors. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Kentucky Wildcats. Garrie was passionate about films, music and sports. Garrie's family would describe him as a man with a heart of gold, that would do anything for anyone.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday February 23, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.
