Gareth W. "Bud" Knight of Centerville, Ohio, passed away on October 25, 2018. He was 95 years old.
He was born September 26, 1923 in Waverly, IL to the late John N. and Mary E. (Adcock) Knight.
Bud was a World War II veteran, who served as a medic in the Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing trips in northern Michigan, as well as Florida. By profession, he was a graphic designer and an accomplished watercolor artist. He sold his landscape paintings commercially and to local patrons. Bud also had a beautiful tenor voice, which he shared by joining church and local choirs. After his retirement, he turned his creative talent to cooking and prepared several of the family's holiday dinners. He was also a member of the Masonic Temple of Dayton. For the past 16 years, his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandson, Brady. He will also be remembered for his lively social life, gathered with friends over tables at local pubs.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly Knight of Toledo; his son, Gary Knight; daughter-in-law, Michelle Knight; and his grandson, Brady, of Centerville.
