Gale Schutzler, age 87, of Waynesville, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023. He was born February 13, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Henry and Ruth Schutzler. Gale served as a Military Policeman in the Ohio National Guard for seven years. He married Sally Schreck on July 23, 1966, in Dayton. Gale worked as a Tool and Die manufacturing machinist for over 40 years. He was passionate about studying Genealogy and was proud to be the 14th-generation grandchild of the founders of Centerville, Ohio. Gale was an excellent craftsman who could build anything and regularly made additions to his home. His love for building and learning followed him through life; if he didn't know how to fix or build something, he would find out. Gale was happiest spending time with his family and loved his dog, Jiffy.
Gale is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sally Elaine Schutzler, and 3 Sons; Anthony (Terri) Schutzler, Grandson Joshua W. Schutzler, Granddaughter Megan L. Schutzler; Mark (David Nation) Schutzler; and Brian (Staci) Schutzler, Granddaughter Mia G. Schutzler, Granddaughter Katriel F. Schutzler; Sister-in-Law Sueko Schreck; and by numerous other friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth Schutzler, Half-Brother Raymond Schutzler, and Sister Betty Rogers.
