Gailen Waddell

Gailen Waddell, age 83 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2016. He was born in Liberty, IN to the late Gardner and Anna Waddell. Gailen retired from Esther Price Candies after many years of loyal service. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed mushroom hunting and spending time with his family. In his free time he loved to play and listen to music. He was a faithful man of God who loved his faith and his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 siblings.

Gailen leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife of 41 years, Mariana Waddell; son, Greg Waddell; step-children, Teryle Saylor and Kathy Combs; grandchildren, Adam, Jamey, Heather,Wesley, Erin, Polly, and Josh; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Geneva, Garland, Edith, Glendon, Janice, and Ronnie; special nephew, Donnie; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel. The family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (10am-11am). Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gailen's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
