Gabriel Bitcas
August 29, 1930 — April 12, 2018
Gabriel Bitcas, "Gabe" age 87 of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Dayton to the late Nicolas and Fanny Bitcas. In addition to his parents, Gabriel was preceded in death by his daughters, Peggy Jo Bitcas and Linda Oda-McGee; sisters, Nadashka Moarenoff, Patricia and Elizabeth Bitcas.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, JoAnn(nee Karl) Bitcas; children, Jane (Bill) Holderman and Joyce (Brian) Howard; son-in-law, Shawn McGee; grandchildren, Jennifer Davenport, Greg Davenport, Christopher Oda and Christine Holderman; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Lee Oda; step-grandchildren, Lindy Good and Ryan McGee; 3 step-great grandchildren; sister, Victoria Petrokas; brother-in-law, William Karl and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gabe attended Roosevelt High School and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He went onto work at Delco Moraine as part of General Motors.
Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. A graveside service will immediately follow the viewing at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
