Fredrick "Gunny" Bramsway, age 68, of Beavercreek, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1946 in Lexington, Kentucky.
He served our country in the U.S Marine Corps in Vietnam as an Ontos Crewman. He retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. Fred was a door greeter at Sam's Club for 19 years and former volunteer with the Beavercreek Police C.O.P.P. Program. He was a member of the Bellbrook Amateur Radio Club and his call sign is KD8VWH.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Bramsway and father, Louis Bramsway.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Heather (Stephen) Bowman; sister, Sharon (Ronnie) Jordan; grandson, Ryan Bowman; granddaughter, Hailey Bowman and special friend, Joyce Przybylowicz. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Victory Baptist Church, 1020 Beaver Valley Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45434. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 3, 2015 at the church. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery Dayton.
