Fredia Purvis

Purvis, Fredia, age 79 of Dayton, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 5, 1927 in Lee Co., KY, the daughter of Alvin &Sophia (Combs) White. She was a devout Christian and was put on this earth to be a messenger of God. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard Purvis; daughter, Omaleen (Purvis) Arnold; grandson, Les Purvis, Jr.; and her sister, Delsie Swan.

Survivors include her sons, Lester (Patsey) Purvis of Huber Heights; Paul (Carrie) Purvis of FL, Charles (Sharon) Purvis of Dayton, and Ernest Lee Purvis of Dayton; closest grandchildren, Jesse (Ellen) Purvis of Dayton and Joyce Purvis of Huber Heights, and Ernest Lee Purvis, Jr. of West Milton; great grandchildren, Andrew Purvis of Huber Heights, Paige Purvis & Summer Purvis of Dayton; sisters, Jean McAlexander of West Carrollton, Hazel Blackwell of Hamilton, Lillie Jones of Hamilton, Naomi Compton of Miamisburg; and numerous other grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at West Memory Gardens, Dayton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 PM until the time of services.
