Frederick "Freddy" Lawrence Taylor was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 4, 1952 to Mary Elizabeth (Anderson) and Virgil Franklin Taylor. He entered into his eternal life on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the tender age of 70.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Ann Taylor; brother, Virgil "Bud" Taylor; granddaughter, Annttionette Lavette Thompson; nephew Cedrick Taylor; and brother-in-law, James Harris.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Tavio James Taylor; Tavio's mother, Zeta James; sisters, Ethel Washington-Harris and Mary Catherine "Cassie" Taylor; grandchildren, Tavio James Taylor Jr. and Tavionna Jackson; great-grandchildren, Tayvion Porter, Da'mir Porter, Tayla Jackson and Nilah Martin; nieces, Rozanne Taylor, Dawn (Michael) Norvell, Tamika Taylor and Tracy Taylor; nephew, Marcus Reginald Taylor; special friend, Karen Birdsong and a host of cousins/family and friends.
Freddy attended Dunbar High School and served in the United States Army. He loved his friends and especially his family, that he was very proud of. He enjoyed dancing, gardening, fishing, cooking, playing cards and playing chess. Freddy was a jokester and always full of jokes.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 11:30am-12pm at The Word Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church, 3401 W. Siebenthaler Ave, Dayton, OH 45406.
A celebration of life will follow at 12pm, with Pastor Elder Dr. Clarence T. Plump Sr. & Assistant Pastor Yvonne Anderson Plump officiating.
