Frederick Cassel

Frederick L. Cassel, age 79 of Riverside, went to be with the Lord on Monday November 14, 2011. He was born on January 28, 1932 in Burlington, NJ, to the late Frederick (Fritz) and Helen (Heckle) Cassel. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (Berkey) Cassel and his brother, George Cassel.

Fred is survived by his son, Dean (Wanda) Cassel; daughter, Linda Cassel; 3 grandsons, Jason (Tiffany) Jesse (Janelle) and Vladimir Cassel; great granddaughter, Justina Cassel; 3 siblings, Paulette Groves, Chris and Brian Cassel; sister-in-law, Miriam Cassel; many nieces, nephews and several close friends.

He was a longtime member of Crossroads Church of God and Greenview Calvary Tabernacle. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 35 years.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday November 17, 2011 12:00 pm at Greenview Calvary Tabernacle, 8010 N. Main Street, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Pastors Timothy Livingston and Rick Smith officiating services. Burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
