Frederick L. "Fred" Campbell, age 78 of Englewood, passed away April 4, 2020. He was born July 25, 1941 in Jamestown, Ohio to the late Rodney and June Campbell. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul, Dick (Mary Lou), Dave (Jean) and Buddy; sisters and brother-in-law: Barbara (Andy) and Margaret; and niece, Patty.
Fred is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deb Campbell; children: Terri Campbell, Jan Campbell, Hollie (Steve) Cline and Chad Wilkerson; grandchildren: Katrina, Josh, Travis, Jacob, Savannah and Shae; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Fred retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He restored '55 Ford pickup trucks; was into Ham Radio; loved classic cars and motorcycles and bought his first Harley at age 70. Fred loved spending time at his second home at Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee, where he enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his loved ones. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his pets.
In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the family will hold private services at this time with Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. Burial will take place at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Fred's birthday this summer, July 25, 2020 at Newcomer North Chapel, time will be announced at a later date.
