Frederick J. Anderson "Fred", age 77, of Centerville passed away Monday, November 30, 2020. Fred was born on April 5, 1943, in Port Clinton, OH. He was the son of the late Ralph and Delilah (Perry) Anderson. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 52 1\2 years, Marylyn (Broker) Anderson.
Fred attended Kent State University. He later join the United States Navy where he received an Honorable Discharge. During his working career, Fred was a purchasing agent for Montgomery County. He was a Member of the Church of the Incarnation Catholic Church in Centerville and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Fred was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the York Rite Shrine. Fred served the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department where he was a member of their 400 Unit. Fred had a passion for his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He also enjoyed photography and target shooting and teaching his family to shoot.
Along with his loving wife, Marylyn, Fred leaves behind a living legacy consisting of his daughters, Tracey (Kenneth) Gregory of Washington Township and Kelley (Jamie) Goldsmith of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Logan Gregory, James Goldsmith, Cole Gregory, Noah Gregory, Avery Goldsmith, and Ashlyn Goldsmith; sister, Mary Helen Anderson; brother, David Anderson; and many dear friends.
The family will receive friends at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills, Centerville, OH, 45459, on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation with Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating.
