Freddy J. Vanover, age 61 of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 26, 2021. He was born February 27, 1959 in Jonesville, Virginia son of the late Garfield and Nancy Vanover.
Freddy was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Freddy retired after 34 years of employment at H &R Concrete. He had a great love for any World War 2 books, movies, and history. Anyone who knew Freddy knew his love for scratch off tickets and NASCAR. Freddy is going to be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Freddy was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Vanover, Paul Vanover, and Junior Vanover; sisters, Jewell Phillips, and Bonnie "Bebe" Music; brother-in-law, George Gruebel.
Freddy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Teresa Vanover; daughters, Karin (Brian) Brennaman, Sara (David) Seeley, and Erica Adams; grandson, Caleb Adams, and a granddaughter on the way; sister, Betty Gruebel; several nieces and nephews; as well as other family members and friends.
Freddy will be laid to rest at a later date in Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Freddy's honor to Hospice of Dayton.
