HATHCOCK, Freddie M., age 81 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Sycamore Hospital. She was born May 20, 1924 in South Carrollton, KY, the daughter of Arthur J. and Cora E. (Jackson) Thompson. Freddie devoted the last 25 years to Jazz Central one of Dayton's premier jazz venue's. She is survived by her only child, Charles W. "Butch" Stone and his wife Pamella; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special niece, Thelma Turner; one sister, Helen Wilson; one brother, James Thompson; step-daughter, Toni McGriff; many other relatives. She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Sterling Hathcock. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.). Visitation will be 1 hour prior to time of service. Burial will in Dayton National Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to WWW.NewcomerFamily.com.
