Freda Mae Eby, 93, of Huber Heights, passed away July 22, 2017. Freda was born in Gahanna, Ohio on September 5, 1923 to the late Henry and Selma Emig. Freda retired from Huber Heights City Schools. She was a founding member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, traveling and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her brother, Alvin; and sisters, Audrey and Carolyn.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert "Jim" Eby; daughter, Roberta (Drexel) Matthews; sons, Dennis (Carol) Eby, David (Phyllis) Eby, Dale (Christine) Eby; grandchildren, Tracie (Tyler) Davis, Marcia Matthews, Benjamin (Sarah) Eby, Christopher (Nikki) Eby, Sarah Eby, Matthew (Chrissy) Eby, Andrew Eby, Michelle Eby, Cara Eby, Travis Eby, Kyle (Amanda) Eby, Brianne Eby; great grandchildren, Kahlan, Cameron, Adalynn, Taylor, Kate, Sabine Mae; brother in law, William Boyd; special nieces, Diana Sue, Cindy; and several other relatives.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 5040 Rye Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday at 10:00 am with Pastor Joel Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
