Freda Maxine (Fulks) Barry, 94, of Dayton, passed away on May 9, 2024 in Brookville, Ohio. She was born April 11, 1930 in Scottown, Ohio to Donald and Vada (Runyon) Fulks. She was preceded in death by husband, Lafayette Jr.; father, Donald; mother, Vada; siblings: Juanita, Alma and Lee; daughter, Carolyn; and grandson, Barry.
Freda is survived by her children: Deborah, Randy and Kelly Ann; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Paul, Jack, and Patricia; and numerous other family members and friends.
Freda was devoted in her faith to Jesus Christ and her prayers were that all of her family come to faith in Him.
She loved playing card games, scrabble and could beat the best of them at Words with Friends on her tablet (she called it her "plate") until her eyesight was gone. She could make the best cornbread and biscuits and enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone.
Freda was devoted to her family with a loving and forgiving heart.
She will be missed very much by everyone but especially, daughter Kelly Ann, her sidekick and roommate until the very end.
The family is honoring her request and will not have a public service. Those who would like to honor her can remember who she was in your life and follow her example by following Jesus.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
