Fred Ciecel Wood, Jr.

Fred Ciecel Wood, Jr., 71, of Washington Township, passed away May 29, 2017. Fred was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 17, 1946 to the late Fred and Flora Wood. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Sanders; and son, Fred Wood.

He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Rose; son, Aaron Wood; step-son, Charles Miller; granddaughters, Tiffany Reed, Falen Tames, Carmen Miller, Lindsey Rose, Zoey Rose, Jenni-Lynn Miller; grandsons, Timothy Matheny, Dakota Rose, Skyler Rose, Jacob Wood, Dwayne Miller; many great grandchildren; sister, Joanne Jacobs; and several other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held from 12 - 1pm on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432, where services will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
