Fred Wohlers

Fred D. Wohlers, age 89, of Washington Township, OH passed away Tuesday December 17, 2013.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dorison and Dale Wohlers; sister, Joyce Gutsche; and grandson, Michael Jeffrey Cowling.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary M. Wohlers; daughter, Judy (Bill) Kathleen Cowling; step-children, David Colvin, Carol Hartloff, and Scott Colvin; grandson, Andy R. Cowling; sister, Harriett (Alby) J. Mason; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Fred retired from Kettering Medical Center after 23 years as a Radiologic Technologist. He served during WWII in the US Army Air Corps. He loved nature and enjoyed his daily walks outdoors. Fred served in the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Kettering as a deacon for many years.
Memorial service is Saturday December 21, 2013 starting at 4pm at Centerville Seventh-day Adventist Church, 456 W. Spring Valley Road, Centerville, OH 45458.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Fred's honor.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
