Fred Pete Ward, age 91 of Fairborn, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 24, 1922 in Jackson County, Kentucky the son of Sherman and Martha Ward. Fred served in the US Navy during WWII and Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Jean Ward; and 1 grandchild.
Fred is survived by his three daughters, Betty Griffith, Phyllis Walter, and Brenda Matney; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1great great grandchild. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens.
