Fred Van Dyke, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Fred was born on November 8, 1924 to the late Ira and Alta Van Dyke.
Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Florence "Flo" Van Dyke.
He is survived by his beloved friend, Dola Muth; and nephew, Jack Blakeman. Fred always had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around.
He loved fishing and going to the lake. He lived the majority of his life on Prescott Avenue in Dayton. He loved to grow vegetables and share them with his neighbors.
Fred served his country in the United States Navy.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, OH, with military honors.
