Fred T. Banham, age 90 of Pleasant Hill, passed away December 27, 2015 at home in the loving arm of his children. He was born November 1, 1925 in Omaha, NE to the late Elmer and Pearl Banham. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Marguerite S. Banham, his brother Elmer Banham and his faithful Australian Shepard Sammy.
Fred is survived by his two sons Neil S. ( Betty) Banham of Willits, CA; Timmins (Chris) Banham of Piqua, OH; daughter Jody B. (W. McGregor) Dixon, Jr. of Pleasant Hill, OH; and grandchildren.
Fred retired as plant manager with ERJO Company, Trooper, PA. in 1987. He served our country in the Navy as an engineer on a landing ship in WW II in the Pacific Theater ( LSM_237). Fred enjoyed boating at the family cabin on Lake Wallenpaulpack, Tafton PA. He was a brother in the Free Masons of Lehigh Valley, PA, and more recently the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio, Franklin Lodge No. 14, Troy, Ohio.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 16, 2016, with a Masonic service starting @ 1045 at First Presbyterian Church, Troy, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deacons Fund of First Presbyterian Church, Troy. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel.
