Fred Spurlock, age 82 of Dayton, ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1938 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Sudie Spurlock.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sisters, Nanie Mae Williams of Kentucky and Bernice Woods of Dayton, Ohio; stepdaughters, Shelly Canaday of Dayton, Ohio.
Fred will be missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Katie (Jean) Spurlock; sons, Fred Allen Flickinger of Athens, Ohio, Wesley Spurlock , Les Spurlock; daughter, Wayburn Harris of Tennessee; two step-daughters; one step-son; nine grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and 24 step-great grandchildren.
Private family burial services will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery.
