Fred Huff, age 84 of Miamisburg, passed away on Sunday November 20, 2011. He was born on March 13, 1927 in Jeffersonville, KY to the late Roscoe and Bufford Huff. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by three brothers, Hancel Clay Huff, Roy Huff and James Lester Huff; and one sister, Lorean Combs.
Fred is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia (Waldron) Huff; two brothers, Hoy (Judy) Huff and Cardell (Sharon) Huff; one sister, Pearl Trent; brother-in-law, Harold (Edna) Waldron; two sister-in-laws, Rosa Huff and Alice Huff; several nieces and nephews, other family members and good friends.
Fred honorably served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sunshine Biscuit after 30 years. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff at Lamplight Inn of Dayton and VITAS Hospice for their loving care and support during Fred's time of need.
A funeral service will be held on Friday November 25, 2011 at 11:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd, where the family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 am. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
