Fred E. Foster

FOSTER, Fred E., age 84, passed away Wed., May 9, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy M. Foster. Fred is survived by his step children Caroline Redick of San Diego, CA and William Wansowich of Dayton; grandsons Tim Wanwick of Kettering and Brian & Jason Redick of San Diego, CA; sister Margie Guthery (Jim) of Oklahoma City, OK, as well as nieces and nephews Judy, Janet, Nancy, Kent, Chris, and Craig; sister and brother-in-law Marcella and Paul Crews and their children Mike, Steve and Mark and beloved canine companion Casey. Fred was a W.W.II Army Veteran who served valiantly in the D-Day Invasion and participated in the liberation of France. While serving his country he received the W.W.II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon and 3 Bronze Service Stars. Friends and family will always remember Fred's sense of humor and courage during trials of various health issues. He was a soldier til the end. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
