Fred Babb Jr.

Fred Babb Jr., age 71 of Riverside, Ohio went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2025. He was born September 27, 1953 in Estill, Kentucky son of Shirley A. Gleason.

Fred was a devoted husband, loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan. Fred loved camping trips with his family out on the hills of Kentucky. Fred's pride and joy was his family and he enjoyed spending as much time with them that he could. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ruth Habel; sister-in-law, Brenda Habel; brother-in-law, Frank LaMagna; and his best friend of 50 years, Donnie Bradam.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Babb; sons, Terry (Jennifer) Babb and Chris Babb; grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Jamie, Abbi, Noah, and Victoria; great grandchildren, Marley, Darnall Jr., Rylen, and Bella; mother, Shirley Gleason; sisters, Charm (Roger) Pettit and Shelia (Rob) Hammonds; brother-in-law, Mike Habel; sister-in-laws, Barbara LaMagna and Sherie Habel; special cousin, Paula (Wes) Thomas; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 4-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 7pm also at the funeral home.
