Franklin Farmer, age 63, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at hisresidence. He was born July 24, 1947. He was a factory worker and believed in the Baptist faith.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. Frank was an avid bowler and a U.K. fan. He was a member of the U.A.W. and D.A.V. He was a loving father and husband with a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Frances (Noe) Farmer, and his son George Glenn Farmer.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Farmer, of Dayton, Ohio; his daughter Kimberly Stamper and husband Michael of Dayton, Ohio; his sisters Bonnie Hoskins, of Loyall, KY and Nancy Roberts and husband Frank of Loyall, KY ,a special niece Jonesta Richardson of Monticello, KY; his loving mother-in-law, Lela Golden of Troy, Ohio; and his brothers-in-law Kenneth and Melvin Golden. Several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 with the Rev. Josh Hensley officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Resthaven Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Golden, Jr., Melvin Golden II, Terry Golden, Ronnie Longworth, Tommy Thompson, and Wallace Napier.
Military rights will be observed by the Harlan Co. Honor Guard.
