Franklin E. Reiger

Reiger, Franklin E., age 90, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Franklin retired from the Maintenance Department with the City of Toledo and also worked for Vernor's Corporation. He was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #576, F & AM Harbor Light Lodge Toledo, and he was a member of the Toledo Shuffle Club as well as the Florida Jet Park Shuffle Club.

Franklin is survived by his wife of 65 years: Ruth (Dishong) Reiger; daughters and son-in-law: Paula Wells & Patricia (Scott) Reitz; grandchildren: Natalie, Sara, Jaqi, Tracy, Todd; great grandchildren: Kora, Kortny & Rainey; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Franklin & Minnie (Flemming) Reiger; his brother and sisters.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Golden Retriever Rescue Resource Inc., 26842 Tracy Road, Walbridge, Ohio 43465. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (Kettering Chapel).
