Franklin D. Wilmoth (Frank) age 80 of Kettering was called home to be with the Lord November 2, 2018. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Verona Wilmoth, sisters, Sylvia Cumby, Marie Scarsberry, Ellen Ruth Bean, Edith Holloway, Dimple Allen, and his brothers, Kenneth and Jerry Wilmoth. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Gloria Wilmoth and daughter, Tara Toney along with her husband, T.J. and granddaughters, Michaela Mcintosh and Cheyenne Toney. Frank is also survived by his brothers, Joe and Arnold Ray Wilmoth and he leaves behind many other special family and friends.
Frank was born in Overton County, Tennessee and came to reside in Ohio at the age of 14 where he worked at the Vancleve Hotel in downtown Dayton. He spent his younger years as a fry cook at several of the local Hasty Tasty and Parkmore restaurants. Right before marrying Gloria he began working for The Borden's Milk Company in Kettering where he remained until it's closing in 1992. Frank was an extremely hard worker everywhere he went.
Most of all he was a true family man. His love for his family was unconditional. He loved every minute he could spend with his family. He loved to talk and cut up not only with family but also with the many friends he came to know and love. Never losing his southern roots he was always first to lend a hand to anyone in need. Frank truly loved the Lord and he enjoyed bible study and attending church. He was a very humble soft hearted soul that also loved all animals. He will be deeply missed.
Frank's life will be celebrated the way he lived it informally and light hearted Friday, November 9th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Oakcreek Worship Center, 4800 Bigger Rd. in Kettering.
Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer South Dayton Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439.
