Frank Punzi III, went to be his Lord and Savior on August 21 after a brief fight with leukemia. Frank was born on July 7, 1996, in Trenton, NJ. He met the love of his life, Alyson (Schroll) at New Life Island while working together at camp. They were married in 2018 and served faithfully in Crossroad Baptist Church in New Carlisle, OH. Their daughter, Lois, joined their family in 2020 and is the joy of their life.
Frank trusted Christ as his Savior at World of Life camp in middle school and was baptized in 2008 stating publicly that his faith was in Jesus. Frank's love for youth ministry started early as he led worship as a teen and held the role of chaplain at the Doane Academy while he was a student.
As a high school student, he enjoyed being involved in baseball, soccer, basketball, and theater.
God led him to Cedarville University where he graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies. It was more than a degree as his love for God and His Word were evident in how he lived life and loved people. After graduation, he served as the Associate Pastor at Crossroad Baptist Church, leading worship and youth ministry.
Frank will be deeply missed by his parents, Frank Punzi Jr. and Jodi (Florio) Punzi of Eastampton, NJ, his brother Sam and Devon (Barbalios) Punzi of Maple Shade, NJ, and his Uncle Frank and Aunt Deb Florio of Bordentown, NJ.
In addition to Aly's family, there are many other aunts and uncles who will greatly feel the loss of Frank.
Frank loved God and loved others.
The service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10am at Crossroad Baptist Church, 9903 West National Road, New Carlisle, Ohio. Frank will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, OH.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to New Life Island, a camp that holds a special place in Aly and Frank's life and that ministers to teens each summer pointing them to Jesus. (NLI.org)
