Frank Taylor, age 84, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born August 4, 1939 in Merriam, Kansas to the late James Leon & Faye Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Anne Taylor and siblings, Jack, Marilyn, Alice, and Ted.
His memory will be cherished by his children: Timothy (Stephanie) Taylor, Joanna (Mike) Quenguan, and Jonathan (Kimberly) Taylor; his 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim, Evelyn, Leona, and Judy; sister-in-law, Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Robert, Ian, and Greg; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Frank graduated from Calvary Bible College in 1963, where he majored in sacred music. Following graduation, he directed music at First Baptist Church in Mission, KS, and sang in the choir at a number of churches for more than 50 years. He worked as a draftsman, painter, and delivery driver until he retired at age 78. Frank married Ruth Anne Taylor on June 21, 1963, and they raised three children together. He led his family in participating in the Bible Memory Association for 35 years, and memorized over a thousand verses of scriptures. Frank was known for his genuineness and generosity. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday March 10, 2024 at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, 2709 Old Yellow Springs Road, in Fairborn, Ohio, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00pm. If you wish to send the family flowers, they may be sent to the church.
Frank will be laid to rest with his wife at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas at a later date.
