JOHNSON, Frank M. age 77, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at VITAS Hospice. He was born June 18, 1932 in Girard, AL to Homer and Bernice Johnson. He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service and later retired from the US Post Office after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Beavercreek, OH. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nina Johnson and Marie Johnson; and son, Robert Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara A. Johnson; children, Robbin (Larry) Siener of Aledo, TX, Lynn (Elvin) Moad of Beavercreek, OH, Dawn Owens of Beavercreek, OH, and Clifford (Deanna) Johnson of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Jamie Owens, Stephen Moad, Lena (Chris) Ellis, Chris Johnson, Matt Johnson, Donald Owens, Robert Johnson, Daniel Moad, and Ryan Johnson; sisters, Annette Chambley of Columbus, GA, Tina (Fred) Kearney of Phenix City, AL, and Geneva Hammock of Phenix City, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother who valued family and his Lord above all else. He will be sorely missed by his family and always remembered in their hearts. A special thank you to the VITAS Hospice staff for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 350 N. Fairfield Rd. in Beavercreek with Rev. John Schlicher officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to St. Andrew United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or VITAS Hospice.
