Frank "Junior" Garnett
Age 91, of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 16, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Dorothy Elizabeth Garnett, the mother of his children; two sons, Jack Lang Garnett & Bill Sandlin; and by one brother, Mack Garnett.
Frank is survived by his wife of the past 24 years, Gladys (Smith) Garnett; three daughters, Alta & Jim Turk, June Sandlin and Lois & Mike O'Shell; one son, Frank & Diane Garnett; one step-daughter, Sandra & David Burchett; one step-son, Ronnie & Hazel Smith; sixteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and by one sister, Elizabeth Logan.
Frank was a member of the Pentecostal Apostolic Church for the past 25 years. He retired as a self-employed Masonry maintenance contractor.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor John Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
